Verizon has committed BIG $$ to fiber manufacturers Corning and Prysmian.

Verizon signed a $1.1 billion, three-year fiber and hardware purchase agreement with Corning, enhancing capacity to support a next-generation fiber platform that will support all of the company's businesses.  read article

Verizon named Prysmian as an additional supplier of fiber cable to support its 4G and 5G wireless and wireline broadband plans, signing a $300 million deal with the company. read article

This commitment will allow Verizon to rollout advanced 4G and 5G small cell networks in the coming years.
