In the hotly contested race to provide gigabit services, the CATV industry is rolling out DOCSIS 3.1 networks nationwide. Comcast, Cox and other cable operators are battling AT&T, Verizon and many regional providers to be the first to offer their customers access speeds in excess of 1Gbps.
Many of these networks utilize DWDM transport in the ACCESS Network to provide the high bandwidth.
